Frequently Asked Questions

Do you grow everything you sell?

No, we don’t. We grow many of the vegetables, however there are some vegetables that we just can’t grow as well as our neighbors. In those cases, we purchase their produce for resale to provide the customer with the best possible product at the best price. We also sell a limited number of products that are not grown here due to our short growing season and to ensure that there is a wide selection to choose from. This includes fruit from B.C. when it is in season.

Where are the vegetables grown?

Our vegetables are grown in fields in close proximity to The Little Red Barn and in our greenhouse that we installed in 2017. Other vegetables are grown at farms from the surrounding area.

Is it cash only?

No, we accept cash and debit as our preferred method of payment.

I noticed you are building a new store, when will that be open and what else will it have?

We opened our new store on April 1, 2021, and closed for the season on October 30, 2021.

Our new store is located in the same parking lot as the smaller barn. We are now able to offer indoor shopping for the same local products we have always had, in addition to many new items! We also have a commercial kitchen in our building where we can make pies and other homebaked goods. Our hard ice cream counter may be our favourite addition yet!

Are you open every day?

Yes! We are open daily during the season, regardless of holidays.

We open Spring to Fall every year, usually that is April 1 until October 31. Check our Facebook page for the most up to date hours.
